Environment / Atmosphere Our practice philosophy is based on providing the highest quality dental care in a friendly and caring environment. Treatment is performed in a serene, comfortable environment with utmost attention to personal comfort. Every patient is looked after, from the moment he/she steps in and the traditional Indian hospitality reflects in our conduct. With its plush interiors, cool atmosphere and soothing music; care is taken to relieve the pain of the patient at one go.
Microorganisms induce a variety of infections and diseases in the human body. Contamination directly or indirectly leads to transmission of infectious agents with the level of microorganisms as high as 50,000 at the tip of dental probe or explorer dipped in whole saliva. Transmission and\or cross infection can lead to infectious diseases which have a dangerous mortality trends.
Sterilization is the best method to counter these threats and its purpose in health care field is to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. In dentistry it primarily relates to processing of reusable instruments to prevent cross infection .If every patient is assumed and treated as he or she is a symptom less carrier of any infections, the dentists can reduce the hazards of cross infection to patients, dental assistants and themselves.
We wash our hands and then put on a new pair of gloves before treating any patient.
All doctors wear gloves, masks and glasses when treating patients
Wherever disposable (single use) items can be used, they are.
After contact with each patient, the gloves are removed and discarded and are never reused for another patient.
Gloves are removed if the treatment of a patient is temporarily interrupted.
All suction tips, saliva ejectors, water glasses, etc are disposed of and replaced
All the instruments are cleaned and soaked in a sterilizing liquid and put through a system of ultrasonic scrubbing. Then, they are dried and packaged and heat sterilized in a large, pressurized oven. This insures the instruments are not contaminated before they are actually set-up in the treatment room. To reduce the risk of contamination, all cotton rolls, cotter
pellets and gauze used in our operatories are sterilized and stored in quantities convenient for use. We test our sterilization units frequently to make sure they are working properly.
All dental procedures are carried out using bottled water instead of water from the tap. Our water system is designed with special filters and certain disposable parts to ensure that the water supply for each patient is free from disease causing agents.
After each use, we follow special procedures for cleaning our hand pieces (the dental drills).
The handpiece is flushed with water and scrubbed with detergent and hot water.
Cleaner/lubricant is sprayed into the handpiece
The handpiece is then sterilized using special piece of equipment called an autoclave
At Dr. Navroop's Dental Centre we use only state of the art RVG digital radiography x-ray system which not only reduces the patients time but also reduces the exposure of the patient to the x-rays considerably.
The surgery room has most advanced chairs with soothing colors and beautiful interiors without any scary dental instruments displayed outside. The clinic supports all the best possible available materials and treatment procedures in the field of dentistry at par with international standards
